Whoa.
Aquamarine can form in long columnar crystals and this is one of them. It makes me happy. I like sitting with it and slowly spin it to see how the light hits. This stone has power in this natural state.
Set in sterling
*Please please please do not introduce this crystal to concrete. Or other hard surfaces. Aquamarine has a high Mohs hardness, around an 8 (diamonds are 10) so these are really good for making jewelry out of. But this does not mean you can't break it. I chose to make this crystal into a necklace because necklaces are more protected by our bodies than say the chaos of being a ring and getting whacked around all day. This necklace can last for generations of contact with human chests, but might not survive encounters with hard surfaces that could snap it.
